Instagram is a fun, free and simple way to share photos from your phone. This app is available for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android devices. Use unfiltered or filtered effects to take photos; share them on a photo stream with friends to see - and follow your friends' photos as well as photos from other people around the world.

This upcoming social media has become a popular tool for connecting with others and expanding creativity! Integrating Instagram into the educational setting would allow students and teachers the opportunity to expand and become more involved in their lessons and activities.

  • Students under the age of 13 are not allowed to have an Instagram account according to their rules and guidelines

How To Use Tool or App
  1. Download the app
  2. Launch the app
  3. Create your account by signing up using your Facebook information or by using an email address, username, and password
  4. Upload a photo for your account
  5. If desired, import names of friends and family through various social networks, such as Facebook or Twitter
  6. Select current Instagram users that you would like to "follow"
  7. Select images to share on Instagram from your phone's photo gallery or begin taking your own photos through Instagram
  8. If desired, apply a filter to your photo
  9. Enter a description for your photo
  10. Choose any social networks you would like to share your photo(s) with such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr
  11. Click done and share your photo :)
